The Library actively collects a variety of research materials, including those in Southeast Asian languages. The library holds over 180,000 items ( as of March 2013) and supports specialist research activities inside and outside Japan.

|■Ocampo Collection ( approximately 1,000 vols.)||Monographs and periodicals from late 19th and early 20th century Philippines.|
|■Indonesia Islam Collection ( approximately 2,000 vols.)||Collection of recent Islamic publications in Indonesia.|
